Brush the top of the pie with the lightly beaten egg white.
Place the pie on a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes.
Reduce the oven temperature to 375°F (190°C) and bake for an additional 30-40 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
Remove the pie from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Tips for None Such Mincemeat Pie
- Be sure to let the pie cool for at least 30 minutes before slicing and serving. This will allow the filling to set and make it easier to cut.
- If the edges of the pie crust start to brown too quickly during baking, cover them with strips of aluminum foil to prevent burning.
- You can add a sprinkle of coarse sugar on top of the pie before baking to add some extra sweetness and texture.
