Equipment

  • Bowl to mix
  • Measuring spoons
  • Spoon to mix

Ingredients

  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • To make the sauce, start by combining all the ingredients in a bowl. Mix everything together until it is well combined and the brown sugar has dissolved. Make sure to taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning as needed. You can add more or less of any ingredient depending on your personal preferences.
  • Once the sauce is ready, pour it over your meatloaf. You can spread it evenly over the top and sides of the meatloaf using a spoon or a brush. Make sure to leave some extra sauce on the side for serving later.
  • Now that the meatloaf is covered in the sauce, it's time to bake it. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and place the meatloaf in a baking dish. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes. After 45 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the meatloaf is fully cooked and the sauce has caramelized on top.
  • Once the meatloaf is cooked, remove it from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing. This will allow the juices to redistribute and make the meatloaf juicier and more flavorful.

Notes
