Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter at room temperature
  • 2 cloves of garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley optional

Instructions
 

  • In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Once the butter is melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes, or until fragrant.
  • Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, and pepper.
  • If desired, add the chopped parsley and stir to combine.
  • Serve the sauce warm, drizzled over your favorite dish.

Notes

  • Taste the sauce after adding the lemon juice, zest, salt, and pepper. If it needs more salt or pepper, add it a pinch at a time until it's perfect.
  • The recipe calls for parsley, but you can experiment with other herbs like thyme, rosemary, or dill.
