  • 1/4 cup of Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup of honey
  • 1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar
  • 2 cloves of minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cloves
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Mix the Ingredients Together
  • In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the brown sugar, Dijon mustard, honey, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, ground cloves, salt, and pepper. Mix everything together well until a thick, smooth glaze forms.
  • Apply the Glaze to the Ham
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Place your ham in a roasting pan and brush the glaze evenly over the top and sides of the ham. Be sure to save some of the glaze to brush on the ham while it cooks.
  • Cook the Ham
  • Place the ham in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes per pound of meat, or until a meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the ham reads 145 degrees Fahrenheit. Brush the ham with the remaining glaze every 15-20 minutes as it cooks.
  • Serve and Enjoy!
  • Once your ham is cooked through, remove it from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving. The result will be a perfectly cooked ham with a delicious, sweet and tangy glaze that is sure to impress your guests.

Notes

Cook your ham with 1 cup of orange juice at the bottom of the pan and reverse sear it with 1/2 stick of butter for optimal results.
