- 2-3 medium-sized green mangoes
- 1/2 cup sugar or to taste
- 1 tsp salt or to taste
- 1 tsp roasted cumin powder
- 1/4 cup mint leaves
- 4-5 cups of water
- Ice cubes
Step 1: Wash the green mangoes and boil them in a large pot of water until they are soft and the skin starts to peel off.
Step 2: Once the mangoes are cooked, drain the water and let them cool down.
Step 3: Once the mangoes have cooled down, peel off the skin and remove the pulp from the seed.
Step 4: Add the mango pulp to a blender along with sugar, salt, roasted cumin powder, and mint leaves.
Step 5: Blend everything together until smooth.
Step 6: Strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer to remove any fibrous or lumpy bits.
Step 7: Add 4-5 cups of water to the strained mixture and mix well.
Step 8: Serve over ice and garnish with some mint leaves.
- Substitute regular salt with black salt for a unique and salty taste.
- Add some jaljeera masala to the mixture for a spicy and tangy twist.
